Michelle Traylor, DVM
I always knew I wanted to be a veterinarian. I grew up surrounded by dogs and cats, and some of my favorite memories are taking them to the vet.
I am a native of Lake Charles and went to McNeese for my undergraduate studies, and attended the LSU Veterinary School. After graduating in 2002, my husband (Matt, also a veterinarian with the USDA) and I lived a couple of places before returning home to Lake Charles. We have 2 children, Reed and Reagan, who both have shown no interest in becoming veterinarians! We have a dachshund named Birdie, and 2 cats named Peaches and Emma. In my free time, I love to exercise and read. Matt and I also like to travel around the country to visit our national and state parks, and go scuba diving when we can!
My favorite part of being a veterinarian is watching pets grow through life, from puppies/kittens to adults and seniors, hoping that I have made a positive impact in their lives and the lives of their owners!
